SUMMARY OF ADJUSTED JUDGES SCORING The judges use a very involved scoring system. They rate and rank each necklace in terms of several jewelry design criteria, as well as things like - their subjective reaction to the necklace as a whole, - their sense of the degree the artist seemed to have conscious, strategic, deliberate control over how the design elements came together within his or her piece, - the wearability of the piece, and - the parsimonious elegance of the design work. In these Ugly Necklace Galleries of Entries, I've summarized the judges work on a scale of 1 to 7, where 1 is Not Ugly and 7 is Very Ugly. [NOTE: These Adjusted Scores use a different scale than the on-line voting.] Specifically, these Adjusted Judges Scores mean the following: THUMBS DOWN....
