SLEEP WITH BUTTERFLIES

Awaken from endless nights of sleep
I'm bound by ties that sink so deep
But I find I cannot leave
So in my dreams I try to fly
In name I am one who sleeps with butterflies

I sleep with butterflies

Connected to minds that turn this earth
I am just one in this game of creation and birth
Hearts are not meant to be broken
A mind is not meant to be waste
So I slumber deep wishing I could try
This is how it is to sleep with butterflies

I wish I could be a butterfly~

UGLY LOVE

This is my handmade necklace entitlted Ugly Love.
It's what Cupid threw up on, from the sky above.
Though it isn't very pretty, and lacks a certain glow,
Throw ugly love around your neck and on the town we'll go!

Clasp Assembly:
Heart/Bar toggle clasp, handmade

Why Do Tadpoles and Sperm Resemble?

I haven't got cable or satellite
Too far in the woods for it to some in right.
Just local network and two channels of public TV
On each, frog and human reproduction do I see.

Why do tadpoles and sperm resemble?
Thus was born the ugly necklace assemble.
Let me start and end with the cable wire,
And to the truthful answer I'll aspire.

Sperm for mothers to be
Of which Barbie is the epitome.
Tadpoles from eggs to frogs full grown
It's genetic makeup has already been sown.

... It's a parable of the princess and the frog
What comes from man now, once grew into that lump on a log.

Clasp Assembly:
TV Cable wire, male and female ends

FEED THE WORLD

Man eats bugs, greens, junk, and doggies,
vegetables, eggs, seeds and nuts,
chicken, fruit, fish, pork and beef steaks,
and some weird things that tkaes guts.

Everything's part of the food chain
so 'animal' can survive,
including the worms that eat dirt
that they too, might stay alive.

Few folks are vegetarians,
yet, man eats bugs -- bugs eat us!
It's even known that man eats man...
except for head and carcass.

Yes this is an ugly process
since the onset of man's life.

...The moral of this here story
tells us there's another scoop.
We're all part of each other...
True -- but also some dirt and some -- you know.

Clasp Assembly:
fish/fish hook

Clammy

the barnacles are gone
there's a hole in it too
if you dampen this necklace
it smells like a slew
such a rusty faux color
and quite ugly too
for the beads bite your eyes
and the bivalve would too

turn over the necklace
and look once again
it's mother of pearl
amid yellows and red
really quite garish
an uncomfortable sight
for either way that you wear it
it is quite a fright

Clasp Assembly:
lobster claw

My Bling

Look at my bling --
I can hear it ring!

I always need to be in touch
(some say it's my crutch)

I need a new phone
I'm tired of this one's tone

I could leave it to you in my will...
Better yet, I'll put it in the landfill!

Clasp Assembly:
Handmade hook/eye clasp

FLOWERS WOULD'VE BEEN BETTER (BUT I GUESS THEY AREN'T AVANT GARDE)

An artist in love is a beautiful thing,
Except in the case of conceptual artists who deal abstractly with issues like gender roles and masculinity or yang and ying,
And the abstract artist of whom I speak is no exception,
For he insists that his love of me is the cause of this necklace's inception.
... He declared he'd create a piece with the pure conceptual touch of my beauty upon it.
My sensuous curves, he insists, are quintessentially captured
In the layers of undulant felt that leave my jind more ruptured than raptured.
Crystal stands in for my vivacity, liberally showered with a haphazard hand,
In a manner I can't stand,
... Assuming his artistic ego is willing and ready,
We might even wind up going steady;
But while love must needs be blind (or else lovers are forced to grin and bear it),
I still refuse to wear it.

Clasp Assembly:
Hook/Eye clasp with gemstone donut, and handmade hook of wire and beads
