These beads are made from brass, nickel, pewter and copper.   Sometimes they are plated.   Sometimes they are inlaid with stones.  Many come from India or China. Some are imitations of sterling silver beads made in Bali, Indonesia.   Most have larger holes, and will slip 1mm leather.
