Message Beads These beads convey different sayings. Email for availability. oddsian@landofodds.com ) Available: 15-19mm White w/Black Letters:  A-Z, Greek Letters, 0-9, #1 8-10mm White w/Black Letters:  A-Z, Greek Letters, 0-9, #1 6mm White w/Black Letters:  A-Z, 1-9, #1 15-19mm White w/ Color Letters:  A-Z 8-10mm White w/ Color Letters:  A-Z 6mm White w/ Color Letters:  A-Z, 1-9 One set is a white cube with black lettering.  The other set is a white cube with letters of different colors on each side of the cube.  These easily slip 1-2mm leather.   These are handmade in Peru, and there is some variation in the size from bead to bead, and the lettering from bead to bead.   Coordinated with this letter set are Ceramic Disc Beads , Ceramic Heart Beads , Sports Balls Beads and Ceramic Spacers.  Other Ceramicbeads will also work well with these letter sets.     These beads are widely used to make necklaces, bracelets and key chains.  To make a key chain, you will need some ceramic beads, a stringing material like waxed cotton or leather , and a 10mm split ring and a 7/8" split ring .  The cord is folded in half, slipped through the 10mm split ring and back through the top loop in the cord in order to secure it to the ring.  Beads are strung on the cord, and a knot is tied to secure the beads.  The small split ring is then slipped onto the larger split ring. German Glass Letter Discs These flat glass disc beads are 6mm in diamete, and 2.5mm wider.  Their hole size is small, and is best suitable to tigertail.  The quality of these beads is not great, so we recommend that you order more than you need. Available:  A-Z, blank   Fimo Letter and Special Symbol Cubes These beads are approximately 7x10mm, and will slip 1mm leather.  The hole is drilled toward the top of the bead, from side to side. Available:  A-Z, peace symbol, fish, skull, yin yang, world, alien, mushroom, sunflower, dolphin, peace symbol, marijuana leaf, heart, moon, wave, sun, daisy, bear. Letter Beads and Pendants

Letter beads come in all materials (glass, ceramic, metal), shapes (cubes, rounds, hearts, ovals) and several sizes.  They are always available for the letters A - Z; sometimes for the numerals 0 - 9; and less frequently available for special letter combinations (Mc, Mac, de, d') and special symbols (-, *, #) or signs (yin-yang, peace, cross, star of David).  Some have large enough holes to slip leather; others have small holes which will slip tigertail or thread.  

The most popular letters are:  A (by far the most popular), E, J, M, N, R, S and Y.

Beading and jewelry making supplies are available in the Findings Alcove, along with display aids, cleaners and polishes, and packaging.

NOTE: The supply and availability of beads is very variable. Please make note of this when you are planning any project! Also MAKE NOTE and REALIZE that the exact color and size of many beads also varies, sometimes considerably, from production lot to production lot. Just because you ordered 100 navy blue oval beads in June, don't assume that when you re-order, that the navy blue color will be exact, or the size will be exact.

Also, don't assume that the same color will still be available when you order next -- even with a basic color like 'black'.

Also in your planning, assume that the variability of size/color/shape in any lot of hand-crafted beads will also have considerable variability.

Don't hesitate, when planning a project, or ordering from us, to ask us questions about supply and availability of beads. We'll do our best to find answers and options for you. This may mean having to modify your design plans somewhat, or for us to find an alternative, though sometimes higher cost, supplier. It may also mean buying your key beads or other parts and findings in larger quantities. At Land of Odds, we are all too familiar with the trials, tribulations and joys of jewelry design. We'll work closely with you.

If you are ordering SEVERAL ITEMS WHICH YOU MUST HAVE "ALL OR NONE", then please email or notify us of this fact when you place your order. If you are trying to spell a particular word with letter beads, please let us know. Normally, we ship what is available, and out-of-stock the rest. We do not typically call or email about what is unavailable, unless specifically requested to do so.

Listed weights and sizes for cast jewelry and beads pieces are approximate.

Please be aware that the colors of images you see on your screen may differ from the true colors of any item offered for sale. We do our best to see that there is as little distortion from the true colors as possible, but different browsers and different computer graphics hard- and soft-ware do many different things with colors. Even when switching between Netscape, Internet Explorer and AOL, some colors will vary considerably, some will vary a little, and others won't vary at all.
