Premium Japanese Waxed Cotton

Good Quality Indian Waxed Cotton

Waxed cotton cord is a leather cord substitute.  Waxed cotton is a cloth covering over a clear nylon line. Waxed cotton is much stronger than leather, and some say lasts longer than leather.  It is great for use with pendants.  The 'color-fast cord' colors will not run.

We carry premium waxed cotton made in Japan in 1mm. [While the manufacturer lists the diameter as "1mm", it is in fact closer to 2mm in diameter. I don't know why this is. It just is.] It is more durable than the Indian, but stiffer.

We also carry a good quality waxed cotton made in India in .5mm and 1mm. This cord is duller and a bit greasier than the Japanese material, but still a good product. It is softer and less stiff than the Japanese. There will be some color variation from spool to spool. [The diameters on these cords are as the manufacturer lists them -- .5mm and 1mm.]
