This chemically treated cloth is the BEST for buffing silver, bronze, brass, and copper to a great shine. It's fast. It's easy. Best of all, it does NOT adversely affect gemstones. Other non-chemically treated cloths don't come close. Other chemical dips often ruin the finish or luster of gemstones. It is safe for plated surfaces. We usually cut the cloth up into strips. Use until the cloth is totally black. Even at this point, with all the chemical gone, it's still useful as a soft buffing cloth.
