What Techniques Students Need To Know Before The Workshop

The skill level required: Intermediate. The student must be comfortable with Peyote Stitching in the round (circular and tubular).

We will schedule refresher classes on peyote 2-3 weeks before the workshops.

Other techniques useful here: backstitching, peyote stitch, brick stitch, embellishment and fringe.

Materials Needed For the Workshop:
Participants may purchase a kit from the instructor, or can bring with them the supplies and tools
listed below.
You may bring your own supplies, or these are also available for purchase at Be Dazzled Beads.

SUPPLY LIST
All supplies listed are approximate depending on the desired length of your bracelet.

One raku heart shaped cab, approximately 1.5" - 2" in size (kit provides one of a kind unique heart created by Makustudios.com)

24mm acrylic ring with Swarovski crystal (just found out they are discontinued) I am the only one I know ofsupplying these.
2 pieces of lacy's stiff stuff, 4"x4"
1 piece of ultrasuede black 4"x4"
5 grams size 11/0 seed beads one in black and one in white
10 grams size 11/0 seed beads in gold, silver or bronze
4 tubes of size 15/0 seed beads in variety of colors that you like and coordinate with your chosen heart
30-40 4mm round beads
Sequins and other "fund beads" to incorporate into your design
Drops for fringe
Cord for necklace portion (your choice...kit provides dyed silk cord)
Feather or doll eyelash (plastic preferred)
E-6000 glude or tacky tape, white craft glue (tacky glue)
Size 10 to size 13 beading needles
Fireline 4 or 6 pound test in smoke gray or dark thread of your choice (Sherry likes c-lon and nymo B or D)

Sherry's one of a kind designs have been worn by several celebrities including, icon Steven Tyler of Aerosmith who also used the beadwork for promotional materials on the bands tour.

Sherry co-authored the book "The Art of Bead Embroidery", with dear friend and artist Heidi Kummli, published by Kalmbach and is featured in Masters: Beadweaving published by Lark.
