GOALS AND OBJECTIVES: To teach about using wire as structural supporting elements and incorporating beads
DESCRIPTION of MAJOR PROJECTS/TASKS: Create a wire wrap bracelet with beads
DESCRIPTION of SKILLS/TECHNIQUES/CONCEPTS TO BE LEARNED: - measuring wrist and determining bracelet size
- create a wire-wrap bundle as structural support
- create a wire-wrap hook/eye clasp
- incorporating beads into wire-wrapped piece

WRITTEN COURSE DESCRIPTION
At the beginning of this class, the typical student should be able to do/know the following: Use tools to create shapes in wire
Simple wire wrapping techniques
At the end of this class, the typical student should be able to achieve/accomplish/learn the following: Create a structural bundle of wires, shape them, and fashion them into a bracelet, adding a hand-made clasp, and embellishing with beads

Supply List

Supplies are provided as a kit, and include

100 inches 21 ga square 1/2 hard wire
4.75 inches 16 gauge round wire
8-6mm beads

Tools are provided for use in class, and include:

flat nose pliers
chain nose pliers
round nose pliers
flush cutters
cordless drill w/keyless chuck
ruler
tape measure
ultra fine sharpie
quilters tape or painters tape
polishing cloth
