Make a charm bracelet chain and the wire-linked charms to dangle from it.

At the beginning of this class, the typical student should be able to do/know the following: |
Know what the different types of jewelry findings are, such as what clasps, headpins and eyepins are. Understanding the basics about wire and wire shaping. Be comfortable using tools for shaping wire. Both hands will be holding a tool at times.

At the end of this class, the typical student should be able to achieve/accomplish/learn the following: |
The student will feel comfortable making their own wire-wrapped loops for more charms, earrings, or by linking them to make chains.

Supply List |
$10.00 kit of jump rings, a clasp and some wire. Bring whatever beads you would like to make into charms to put on your bracelet. A minimum of 25 4mm round or shaped beads. I wouldn't recommend round beads larger than 10mm. Size 11/0's are good for fille and little bits of color. We will be working with sterling silver wire in this class. Tools: (tools are provided for classroom use, thought students may
want to purchase their own) |
