PREREQUISITES: FG7101: Introduction to Fused Glass
GOALS AND OBJECTIVES: This class is an exciting opportunity for you to further explore the design possibilities of fused glass for personal adornment during this one-day class.
DESCRIPTION of MAJOR PROJECTS/TASKS:

Experiment with special gold & Silver pens and metallic lusters to create unusual effects on your work. Learn to determine and use effectively the top and bottom sides of clear dichroic glass.

This workshop will cover the following:
1. Brief review of safety
2. How to Use Dichroic GLass
a. What it is
b. Which side is up and does it really matter?
3. How to create holes in glass
a. Fiber Paper
b. Mandrels
c. Drill, etc.
4. How to use silver & gold writing and drawing pens
a. how to use
b. how to fire
5. And much more....
6. Design, Create & Complete
a. Dichroic Pendant & Earring Set
b. Dichroic, Frit & Stringer Wall Tile or Coaster
c. Silver or gold pen and luster pendants or key chains
d. And much more....

Most pieces can be fired and taken home the same day of the workshop.
