PEY2015:  PEYOTE AROUND A CABOCHON PIN
Instructor: Kathleen Lynam
$35.00 fee / ($35.00 deposit reserves space)

Students will create a bezeled cabochon with backing.  A cabochon is a gemstone or piece of glass that has a domed or raised surface, and a flat back.   By creating a bezel -- that is, something in which the cabochon sits and is held into place, the student creates an object that can be used in a piece of jewelry, such as a pendant or pin.  Students will also bead around a cabochon placed on stiff backing.  Both pieces will be embellished creatively.
