GOALS AND OBJECTIVES: Students will be introduced to different types of looms, learn how to warp a loom and the tention involved, basic weaving technique, ending and adding weft threads, finishing techniques, and correcting common mistakes.

In beginning loom weaving the student will be introduced to different types of looms and their advantages and/or disadvantages.   The student will learn how to warp a loom.  The student will learn how to apply beads to the loom in a pattern and how to remove a completed project.   They will then go to weaving in and finishing the warp threads.

At the beginning of this class, the typical student should be able to do/know the following: No previous experience required.
At the end of this class, the typical student should be able to achieve/accomplish/learn the following: How to warp a loom.
Understand something about managing thread tension on a loom.
How to string beads on a loom, following a simple pattern.
