Orientation to Beads and Jewelry Findings

This is a beginner to intermediate level class.
You may first want to do BW5: Beading Around a Cabochon – Back Stitch Method
or have some previous bead weaving experience with a stitch like the peyote stitch or brick stitch.

GOALS AND OBJECTIVES:

To teach the basics of beading around cabochon.

This class will teach you how to bezel a cabochon using the peyote stitch. We will decrease using progressively smaller beads. This piece will also be finished with ultra suede and a picot edging.

domed cabochon (not too steep)
size 11, 15, 8 seed beads (colors to accent the cabochon)
needles
thread
ultra suede to match the cabochon
(can be found in scrap box at Textile Fabrics on 8th Ave South in Berry Hill)
glue: E6000

The instructor will have the glue, stiff felt, and markers needed.
