Rules for Use During Class Hours
Some classes, like silver-smithing, precious metal clay, fused glass, polymer clay,  and lamp-working, will involve use of laboratory/studio equipment, such as polishers, grinders, drills, torches, gas tanks, hammers, kilns, hot glass, and the like.

At all times, students are expected to follow the instructions of the teacher for use of this equipment.   Students will be required to sign a statement that they fully understand the risks, and their own responsibilities and liabilities, given these risks.

At the end of each class, students are expected to clean up the work areas, and return all tools and equipment to their proper places.

(See Use of Studio Equipment During Non-Class Hours).

Fees Involved
For those classes requiring use of laboratory/studio equipment, a separate fee will be charged in addition to the tuition fee.   This fee will cover the general overhead costs involved, as well as the cost of any special supplies required.

Form To Sign Before
Before using the lab or studio equipment, each student must sign a form, indicating that she or he fully has been taught and understands the risks involved, and their responsibilites and liabilities, given these risks.
