Student Orientation & Curriculum
Guide The CBJA accepts class registrations from any person interested in further developing their skills in beadworking or jewelry-making. The CBJA encourages people with all skill levels to learn new techniques and further develop themselves as a bead or jewelry artist. Application is made for specific courses, rather than the program as a whole. Courses are identified as:
(See Curriculum) Registration may be made by phone (615-292-0610), mail (718 Thompson Lane, Ste 123, Nashville, TN 37204), or email (beadschool@landofodds.com ). All courses, except the Orientation course, require pre-registration and deposits at least 3-5 days in advance. All deposits must accompany the registration. When registering, please provide the following information: NAME: If you do not want to pay the deposit, you may add your name to the waiting list for a course. There is a $5.00 nonrefundable fee to place your name on a course waiting list. When we decide whether a course has made its minimum enrollment, however, we do not count names listed on the waiting list -- we only count participants who have paid their deposits. If an insufficient number of paid participants have enrolled in a course, we attempt to contact each name on the waiting list, before deciding that we must cancel this course.
An Academic Calendar is maintained under Yahoo (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/beadschool) which lists our current schedule of courses and workshops. All courses and workshops have limited enrollments. Deadlines for enrollment, unless otherwise specified, are at least 5 days in advance. Because of limited enrollments and enrollment deadlines, it is advisable for the student interested in enrolling in any particular course or workshop should do so at their earliest convenience. We also maintain an e-mail notification beadschool group on Yahoo. There is a calendar listing courses, workshops and events on Yahoo as well.
